The Griffin’s is a highly-regarded brand that began as the house cigar for Bernard Grobet’s legendary playground for the rich and famous, the Griffin’s Club in Geneva, Switzerland. Made by Davidoff, the cigars gained in popularity until they were officially released throughout North America in 1989 and have remained an often-overlooked connoisseur favorite. The Davidoff blending team selected a balanced blend of Dominican Cibao Valley filler tobaccos which are topped by a Dominican binder and an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper. The Griffin’s are mild-to-medium in character, delivering notes of toast, nut, wood, spice and earth with subtle splashes of cream. And these cigars are now available with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper as well. The Griffin’s Maduro is a livelier smoke which highlights dark cocoa, coffee, and pepper flavors while venturing into the fuller-bodied range. Numerous Griffin’s Special Edition cigars have also been released in limited quantities over the years, each offering a different flavor profile and different levels of character and complexity.
