Manuel Quesada identified the 1997 crop of his Dominican tobaccos to be of exceptional quality and so he set a large portion of the tobaccos aside to be used for a truly special cigar blend. And those tobaccos have found their way into the Quesada Reserva Privada series. Combining the 1997 tobaccos with other Dominican leaves and Pennsylvania tobaccos results in a medium-bodied smoke filled with hints of cedar, cocoa and spice.
With each utilizing the same binder and fillers, there are three different wrappers available. The original Quesada Reserva Privada features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper leaf. The Reserva Privada Oscuro is crowned by a tantalizing Broadleaf wrapper and offers a slightly more robust smoke. And the Reserva Privada Barberpole offers a unique “barber pole” combination of the Connecticut and Oscuro wrappers.
