The Punch Upper Cut series has developed quite a following since its release in 2009 due primarily to the richness of the Nicaraguan tobaccos found at the core of each cigar. Tobaccos harvested exclusively for this cigar from the volcanic soil of Ometepe (an island located in Lake Nicaragua) join with a Nicaraguan binder leaf and an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper leaf to deliver an experience which is medium-plus in character. The Punch Upper Cut series delivers an impressively structured line-up of thick spice, wood, cocoa and nut flavors which are all tied together by an underlying earthiness. A fan-favorite which serves as a fine companion to a broad spectrum of distilled spirits.
