Muestra is a term used to describe the “samples” that arise from the cigar maker’s choicest experiments. And the Muestra de Saka from Steve Saka’s Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust makes for a thrillingly gratifying experience.
Made in very limited quantities, Saka himself describes Muestra de Saka cigars as being of “many different expressions” and “something of worth beyond my own previous experiences.” With an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper surrounding Nicaraguan tobaccos, flavor profiles range from leather, pepper and wood to sweet spice and toast. The bucket-list worthy Diademas-shaped Unicorn (6 ¼” x 60) is a treasure to be sure.
Offered in individual cedar coffins, Muestra de Saka cigars might be hard to find, yet should prove worth the effort.
