Crowned Heads came about when both Mike Conder and Jon Huber left CAO Cigars to form their own company in hopes of creating quality boutique cigars that reflected Conder’s and Huber’s unique style and vision. Their first release, Four Kicks, was a major success and has since become an aficionado favorite. The name Four Kicks pays homage to a song by Kings of Leon and the cigar itself was inspired by the Cuban Montecristo No. 2. Crafted by legendary cigar master Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s team, each Four Kicks cigar features Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos that are crowned by an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper leaf. The medium-bodied excursion offers up Cuban-like hints of cedar, pepper, sweet spice, leather, roasted nut and coffee. A Four Kicks with a darker wrapper and bolder blend is also occasionally released as a limited edition offering dubbed the Mule Kick.
