Inspired by the luxuriously exotic beauty of Indonesia’s rare Macassar ebony wood, General Cigar Company’s team of Dominican masters have created another in a line of superbly crafted smokes with wholly unique character simply and rather appropriately named Cohiba Macassar. Each Cohiba Macassar offers up thick spice, earth and wood flavors with subtle sweet nuances throughout. The Macassar’s deep complexity comes from the use of Dominican and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos aged at least four years, a six-year aged Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a Connecticut Havano wrapper from the Northeast region of the Connecticut Valley also aged at least four years. All tobaccos spent the final year of aging in Dominican rum barrels, a process inspired by the limited run Cohiba Comador. Currently available in three sizes: a 6” x 52 Toro Grande, 6” x 60 Gigante and 7 ¼” x 54 Double Corona.
