Swiss-born Sebastian Decoppet spent nearly a year travelling around the Caribbean and Central America eventually settling in Honduras, where he struck up a friendship with the Plasencia family that led to the creation of his very own cigar brand: Cavalier Geneve. And the first out of the gates was the Cavalier Geneve White Series. Originally created for the European market, the Cavalier White Series is crafted at Plasencia’s factory in Honduras using Viso and Seco filler tobaccos from Paraguay, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic tucked inside of a Connecticut binder and Habano wrapper, which is adorned by a 24 kt. gold foil diamond. What follows is a smooth and sophisticated mild-to-medium bodied pleasure cruise underscored by rich notes of wood, sweet earth and spice. The pigtailed 5 ½” x 56 Diplomate is a standout. Two small batch editions have also been released in extremely limited quantities, a 7” x 58 Salomones and a 7” x 38 Lancero.
