Honoring the birth year of brand owner Kyle Gellis, the Warped Serie Gran Reserva 1988 is a 5 ¼” x 50 Robusto handmade by the Casa Fernandez team at the Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Ever the perfectionist, Gellis pushed the release originally set for 2017 back a year until he felt the Nicaraguan Puros had reached their optimal potential.

The Warped Serie Gran Reserva 1988 features a Nicaraguan Corojo 99 wrapper leaf from the Jalapa Valley which shelters a mixture of Criollo 98 and Corojo 99 tobaccos. The smooth and complex smoke offers a flavorful medium-bodied Cuban-like experience touched with hints of cedar, pepper, leather, cream, earth and coffee which are underscored by a pleasingly sweet nuance throughout.
